 There is a third challenger for the KFC Alice Springs Netball Association Division 1 title this season after Saturday's round 11 matches. Wests Epilogue caused a major upset by defeating top side Rovers Complete Construction 60-44. The foundation for the win was laid in the first quarter which Wests won 17-12 and went on to outscore Rovers in each subsequent term. While the win showed what Wests is capable of, it must reproduce the effort in coming games to justify the title challenger tag.

Wests still has to qualify for the finals currently sitting in 5th place. The KFC Division 1 ladder is
below:
1. Rovers Complete Construction (18 points)
2. Federal Eastside White (16 points)
3. Rovers TDC (16 points)
4. Federal Eastside Red (14 points)
5. Wests Epilogue (14 points)
6. Wests Gillen Club (8 points)

In the other Division 1 games Federal Eastside Red defeated Wests Gillen Club 69-56 and Federal Eastside White overpowered Rovers TDC 67-16. Federal shooters Brooke Wilson (Red) and Carly Ross and Nicola Metcalfe (White) were on fire from the start of their games Wilson shot a perfect 14 goals from 14 shots in the first quarter for Federal Red as it took a 22-10 lead. She finished with a total of 43 goals. Ross finished with 33 goals after being switched from goal attack to shooter at half
time. Metcalfe shot 10 goals in the first and second terms.

The closest games in Division 2 were 17-goal victories to Neata Glass Giants and Wests Jaws Contracting. Giants defeated Federal Angels 37-20 and Wests overcame Sundowners Alice Hospitality Supplies 46-29. In the other Division 2 games, Seasons Flinders University defeated Federal AKC 58-18 and Mai Segi scored 49 goals to shoot Seasons to a 63-31 win against Rovers Complete Construction.

There were closer games in Division 3. Federal Swifts began strongly against Rovers BnTz and led 11- 6 at the first break. Rovers fought back in the middle quarters and the margin was one heading into the final stanza. Federal steadied and shooter Dominica Roebuck slotted in six goals, to take her tally to 20, and Federal to a 28-26 win. Giants Alice Springs Brewing Co defeated Federal Queens 47-41 with a strong final term when it scored 13 goals to eight. Giants made a match-winning move at the final break, bringing Molly Skipsey on to play goal shooter and she netted 10 goals for the quarter. Equally important was Giants bringing Stephanie Gleeson on to strengthen the defence after Federal had scored 13 goals in the preceding quarter. In other games Wests Footy Girls defeated Federal P&V Flames and Wests Ward Keller defeated Giants GSD Solutions 56-35.

In Division 4 Wests Loco Burrito went from strength to strength after an opening term 22 goals to defeat Giants Alice Kustom Paint Supplies 72-14. In the other games Sundowners Club Eastside showed no mercy to sister team Sundowners Gap View Hotel. After an even opening term it went on to win 29-19, Wests Jaws Contracting defeated Raging Rovers 46-35 and Seasons overpowered Giants Dreamers 45-29.

There were comfortable wins in the 17-and-under Division. Federal Red defeated Rovers Wreckers 69-28, with Isabelle Ross scoring 24 first half goals, and Rovers Raptors outplayed Giants Bark 'n' Bath 50-20 with Poppy Dash netting 33 goals.
